Has many mineral impurities

Operation of a steam boiler

The use of a steam boiler contains two important stages affecting the duration of the service life of this device.

1. Water treatment is the first main point during the operation of a steam boiler. Unprepared polluted water, which has many mineral impurities, will lead to a decrease in the productivity of the device and to a possible breakdown. Incorrectly prepared water can cause an accident. The characteristic features for water purification depend on its source, from which it will enter the steam boiler. To reduce mineral salts, special chemical impurities are added to the water, one of which is sodium zeolite. Oxygen is also removed — it is the cause of pipe rusting. Even if all water purification measures are observed, it is necessary to check the pipes in a planned manner and clean them if necessary.
